Church Works With Chi For Yaris
The distinctive work of Caroline Church has been put to outstanding use in a set of three illustrations for the Toyota Yaris. Commissioned by Kathy Howes at Chi Advertising, the idea was for Caroline to create a set of mock crests for the car: each one representing an example of something which, although small in size, is also very "big" in other important ways. At first glance these crests appear quite traditional, but closer inspection shows they are constructed from an almost bizarre selection of objects that combine to show examples of "bigsmall". So we have the Espresso ("small and stimulating"), the Microchip ("small and intelligent") and the Porcupine ("small and safe"). A deceptively clever idea throughout, and expertly brought to life by Caroline
