Renault Posters at Dublin Airport

Danny Allison’s  posters for Renault have been enjoying some space at Dublin Airport.

The job was originally commissioned by Publicis to create some posters for Renault – a sponsor of the Irish Paralympic team. Now as a celebration of athletes’ achievement at the games, the artworks adorn the terminal walls of the capital’s airport, in an unmissable fashion!

Stella And Sarah

When it comes to illustrating articles about creating and customising your own clothes, there is really only one candidate; ­Sarah Beetson... Commissioned by Jason Morris at Stella Magazine; ­part of The Sunday Telegraph, ­the image was entitled 'yeah I made it myself!' It's right up Sarah's street ­putting bits and bobs together in her groovy collage/funky fashion: exactly in tune with the article.

Educating Vigla

Some of us find it easier to learn than others. The challenge for Vincent Vigla was to create seven illustrations showing that even robots can find it difficult. Commissioned by French magazine "Le Monde de L'Education" we think Vincent passed the test!

Grizzly Ol' Pattison

Grizzliness is out there. Or so it says in "ITV's Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids" a brand new 6 book series illustrated by the talented Steven Pattison.

Commissioned by Jon Appleton of Orion books, Steven's brief was to completely reinvent the Grizzly Tales series (as based on Jamie Rix's popular children's books) with these wonderfully dark, gruesome and undeniably grizzly illustrations.

Rotary Corr Animation

Chris Corr has just completed a worthy animation project for Rotary, the US charity foundation whose focus is bringing clean water to the Third world.

Chris worked closely with animation studio Sherbet on the

project: "I did lots of still pictures and Sherbet had a team of very clever people who animated them. It's great to see your pictures move".

Reaching Boiling Point

Literally boiling over with quality is Chris Ede and this terrific cover illustration for Leadership Focus Magazine.

Fiona Duthie at Redactive Publishing commissioned Chris to create front cover and editorial pieces that would illustrate the pressure and strain head teachers commonly find themselves under. Notice the word "STRESS" cleverly written within the brain itself.

Taking Time Out For London

Helping distil the many varied aspects of London life is Kavel Rafferty and these eight graphic illustrations for Time-Out London.

Commissioned by Henry Elphick, Senior Designer at Time-Out, the illustrations appear as chapter headings throughout the Time-Out London guide book, which is being published this month.

Spookier All The Time

The shadowy talents of the mysterious TS Spookytooth have been witnessed in a new collection of stories published by Harper Collins.

Commissioned by Nikki Kenwood at Harper Collins, the book is entitled "Fearless Flynn and Other Tales", and concerns the dead spooky adventures of one brave Flynn and his battles with three dead spooky skeletons.

Indian-Urban

The accolades are flying in left, right and centre for India-based designer and illustrator Shailesh Khandeparkar.

In a style he dubs "Indian-Urban", Shailesh's work has already brought him acclaim from the prestigious D&AD, while his beautiful poster work for the World Wildlife Fund has led to an installation project for the charity.

Aruba Lettering

Another exciting example of Ruth Rowland’s ever-varied lettering work is revealed in this ad series for Lowe New York's new Aruba campaign.

Creative Director, Raj Kamble wanted the copy on each ad to really express the personality of the subject, for Ruth this meant: “getting inside their heads, and nothing does this better than hand lettering which can be fine-tuned to suit an individual piece, giving each design a unique voice”.

Flaming Titles

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire is the new Matt Lucas comedy show featuring fabulous title sequences by Keith Robinson.

Working alongside design and production agency Skaramoosh, Keith worked on the initial pitch, going on to design, direct and animate the final sequence. Using actuality footage, the sequence aims to introduce the main characters and reflect the personality of the show: “A groundbreaking action-comedy that is equal parts workplace comedy and sword and sorcery fun.”

This terrific web page illustration is by Grahame Baker Smith who was approached by Canadian music video maker Michael Maxxis for this dark and delightful design.

As fate would have it, the two already had a strong connection. Explains Grahame: “I asked what band he was working with and he said a UK band that I probably won't have heard of called The Heavy. I nearly fell off my chair—the lead singer used to live next door to me! It was incredible to me to talk to Michael, thousands of miles away, and find this common and quite strange link between us.”

Enya

This stunning lettering creation by Ruth Rowland is for Enya’s latest C.D "The Very Best of Enya".
Ruth's fluid words were layered over a collection of sumptuous photographs by Simon Fowler. The end result is a very collectible Limited Edition Box Set in which all the lyrics are hand lettered, her original logo has been retained and Ruth’s hand lettering used as a visual link throughout the inside of the booklet.
