Living and working in the city itself whilst being one of the best contemporary reportage illustrators, makes John the perfect artist for this job. Full with on the spot drawings, this book, written by Richard Tames is out now and follows the launch of John Holder's celebration of mark making; G.O.D. - Good Old Drawing at the Cartoon Museum in London and in Cambridge.

60 Years of The Queen

Gail Armstrong produces a glorious cover illustration for the July issue of "Where? London" magazine. The issue celebrates 60 years since The Queen's Coronation and features related events and places of interest to visit around London. Gail's paper sculpture image is inspired by the crown jewels with the crenellations creating a skyline of some of London's notable landmarks. Art Director Tim Benton said of the piece "We were so impressed with Gail's unique craft. She has created a fantastic eye catching illustration for our 'Where?' cover to our exact specifications, whilst still putting a great deal of her own input into the work. She is a true artist...." The "note From the Editor" feature in the magazine also has a short piece with some photos about the making of the image; an added insight into Gail's creations. Council Walks With Dinosaurs

A Map Of The World

The Wolves Of Willoughby Chase

This masterpiece drawn by Rohan Eason appears on the front cover of the childrens' classic 'The Wolves of Willoughby Chase'. Published by Vintage, Rohan has also illustrated the sequel 'Black Hearts in Battersea' due out this month. He says "...the last illustrator to do them was one of my favourites, Edward Gorey, so I was very excited to be given the chance to do the new versions."

See No Evil

Andy Council recently took part in See No Evil in Bristol, the UK’s most ambitious and largest permanent street art project.  Council produced this large scale 'Bristol Chicken' mural alongside some of the world's biggest names in Street Art.  To help promote the event Council and four other Bristol artists were asked to do their own version of the Bristol Post's Masthead.  In his unique style the Masthead incorporates 'The Post', Bristol and a dinosaur... all in one!

The special editions of The Post could be set to become collectors editions in years to come.

UN Stamp

Launched in June, this wonderful stamp has been created by Gail Armstrong for the United Nations.  The job was to create a paper sculpture based on the theme of 'land' to mark the UN conference in Rio, Brazil for the International Summit on Sustainable Development. It has been high-profile and also hugely successful leading Gail to put together a movie showing how the piece was made, giving an amazing insight to her creative world! Watch it here.

Venice Street Fashion

Commissioned by Danish men’s lifestyle magazine EM, Ian Murray has used his skills to create this image to accompany an article about men’s street fashion in Venice. Ian says "Thankfully I had prepared well by watching all episodes of The Bridge and Borgen. Love those Scandinavian dramas!"
