Renault Posters at Dublin Airport

Danny Allison’s  posters for Renault have been enjoying some space at Dublin Airport.

The job was originally commissioned by Publicis to create some posters for Renault – a sponsor of the Irish Paralympic team. Now as a celebration of athletes’ achievement at the games, the artworks adorn the terminal walls of the capital’s airport, in an unmissable fashion!

RCSLT Bulletin

Duncan Beedie illustrates an article for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Bulletin. The challenge, which Duncan has succeeded in tremendously was to visually express "the transferral of patients' medical data to a global online database in order help patients and doctors discern medical trends on localised and regional scales".

Reading Is Fundamental

Anne Wilson has received the wonderful news that one of her children’s books has been chosen by the RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) organisation to be part of the Macy's Multicultural Collection of Children’s Literature 2012-2013. 40 titles were chosen for RIF to distribute to schools and other organisations across America with a focus on reaching at-risk and underserved children. Anne says "There were 800 books looked at and my book 'We're Roaming In The Rainforest' (written by Laurie Krebs) was selected! It's a lovely pat on the back to know your work is out there benefitting children."

Hannah Firmin at Herefordshire Arts Week

Hannah Firmin is one of eight invited artists exhibiting at a beautiful venue near Hay on Wye as part of the Herefordshire Arts Week. The show runs from 8th -16th September at CABALVA FARM GALLERY, Whitney-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR36EX.  And on Friday 14th September, visitors are in for a treat as Hannah will be at the gallery for the whole day to meet and talk to anyone interested,  between 10am and 12pm she will be talking about her work and demonstrating her fabulous technique . The piece here is Hannah's latest print which will be on show together with 20 or so other prints. She says "It is a local view near to where I live, showing the River Usk and the Brecon canal. At the moment I am exhibiting in a family show in Whitstable, Kent at The Horsebridge Centre. This continues until the 31st August."

Social Inequality

Ian Murray has collaborated on some research work with Dan Ariely on the subject of Social and Economic Inequality. Having read his book Predictably Irrational, Ian began to follow his blog, and intrigued by the subject matter the opportunity arose to submit some stunning work to be exhibited in America this summer. The exhibition entitled PoorQuality: Inequality is now showing at The Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University, 2024 W Main St, Bay C, Durham, NC until August 31st.

 

Venice Street Fashion

Commissioned by Danish men’s lifestyle magazine EM, Ian Murray has used his skills to create this image to accompany an article about men’s street fashion in Venice. Ian says "Thankfully I had prepared well by watching all episodes of The Bridge and Borgen. Love those Scandinavian dramas!"
