Bill animates Trans-Atlantic Tumnus
Bill Greenhead's latest whiteboard animation is a music video for Free Swim.
The group asked Bill to make a video for their latest rock track "Trans-Atlantic Tumnus", and of course Bill jumped at the opportunity. He says " The track gave me a chance to try out lots of new techniques in whiteboard art. I wanted to be able to place static objects and for them to spring into life. Lots of 3d animation with UFOs and robots. It's a fun track to animate." Watch the animation.

Bill Wyman Logo
Ruth Rowland works on the new Bill Wyman logo for his official web site.
Ruth says "The development stage included a range of hand rendered styles, from handwriting akin to his own signature to this wilder version of his name using a dry brush to create a distressed, edgy mark. Combined with the designer's bold background and retro photo, the lettering makes a powerful impact on the music legend's homepage."

Reptile Brain Music
BoomArtwork produces an album cover for Swedish rock band Imperial State Electric.
Nicke Andersson; former front man of The Hellacopters approached BoomArtwork to create the art for the vinyl album of his new band. He asked for something bold and vintage to illustrate the record title 'Reptile Brain Music', so BoomArtwork set to work using his fabulous design and illustrative skills and made this punchy retro visual, he says "... First I drew the hand of Zeus with my brush and ink, and then the crocodiles eating each other's tail. In Photoshop I placed everything together and then started with the typography. Instead of using an existing typeface I thought it would make the album more special to create custom lettering. After finishing I added some filters to make it look like it was released in the 70's. It was so much fun to illustrate an LP album cover, as it is such a cool, tactile canvas to work on."

Supermayor!

Pete Pachoumis is commissioned by The Ministry of Sound to create poster art for a campaign to save the famous club.
Proposed residential development of the land around the club could result in its closure, so The Ministry of Sound have been calling on the support of London Mayor Boris Johnson. Pete has produced a comical image to raise awareness and support for the case, which has been used across social media platforms, as posters and even projected on to the side of a nearby tower block.
After four years of talks, the final decision will be made today by the Mayor. Follow the news here.
Pete says "I was approached to create an image that would be eye catching, entertaining, memorable and tell a quick story all while capturing a likeness of the Mayor. I try my best when allowed in my illustration work to entertain the viewer (along with) the message that the client wishes to convey. This project was the sum of that in one single image; the Mayor swooping in and saving the Ministry of Sound all while placing a smile of the faces of the people in London."
