Portfolio Wales

Welsh artist Hannah Davies will be exhibiting her work in Swansea this week.
Portfolio is an online gallery, promoting and selling contemporary paintings, drawings & prints by artists living and working in Wales. This exhibition which includes other talent such as John Abell and Penny Hallas opens this Saturday 12th October with a preview on Friday 11th between 7 and 9:30pm. An excited Hannah says "(It's) one of the first events I've ever done in my home town in South Wales!"

Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Hopeful

Liam O'Farrell is excited about the possibility of a fourth piece of his art being selected for the very popular Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2012.  Artists and Illustrators Magazine have featured him as a 'Summer Hopeful' in a recent article where Liam says "I've applied three times and I've got in three times, but that doesn't mean anything - your odds start at zero every time". Soft Flora

This very sunny image from Steinar Lund has been produced for a Norwegian food company. The illustration is now being used as packaging for Soft Flora margarine, and appears on their website. Steinar says "The landscape was a composite of many photographs with various degrees of manipulation. The flower was based on a photograph, but extensively manipulated to create the right shape, then totally painted over digitally to give an airbrushed look." The commission was via DesignHouse in Norway for Norwegian Food producer Mills.
