Frith's In The Woods

Michael Frith’s work will be familiar to many of us, having graced Fleet Street for many years as designer, illustrator and reportage artist. His work for the Sunday Times restaurant columns and food pages are especially well known, and his portraiture has been featured in most national newspapers. The National Portrait Gallery also hold Michael’s portrait of Robert Maxwell in their permanent collection. Michael has always painted a variety of subject matter with enviable ease: from seascapes and marine paintings, to food studies and portraiture, and this ease can be seen at his present exhibition of watercolours and drawings running at West Stoke House, near Chichester until Sept 3rd. The exhibition is open daily between 10am and 4pm, for more info ring +44(0)1243 575226.
