Both completed for the LA Times, Robert Carter creates these first-rate portraits of Romney and Obama. 'Flood' tackles the issue of southern Alberta farmers who have found themselves bailing floodwater, cleaning up their properties and paying for uninsured damages for the last two years. 'Now, both land owners and insurance industry executives think it might be time for a change.'

Robert Carter works his amazing brushes on this portrait for Hagerty Magazine.
The article is about Richard Bonford, the Patron Saint of the French Citroen car. Suitably dressed in his armour,  Robert illustrates "No matter how obscure your orphaned car, you have a knight in shining armour, ready to keep your car on the road".

Harvard Business Manager

The German magazine Harvard Business Manager commissioned Robert Carter to illustrate the cover and complete a full page illustration for their most recent issue.  Along with this well executed piece, Robert has managed to fit in a cover for  LA Times Sunday Calendar special for the 83rd Academy Awards, some promotional work for Pacifico Beer and he finished portraits of the 39 signers of the Constitutions for Quirk Book Publishers. He is an artist not put off by a heavy workload! Currently Robert is working on two more book covers for the Harvard University Press' ongoing John Harvard Library series.

Tiger Woods

This powerful portrait of sport’s legend Tiger Woods is the handiwork of illustrator Robert Carter.

Commissioned for the LA Times the article takes a look at Tiger Woods on the anniversary of his famous episode last year which started his rapid decline both on and off the course. Robert's capture of emotion is sensational.

John Harvard Library

This commanding illustration is the result of an ongoing project by the very talented Robert Carter.

Commissioned by the Harvard University Press’s continuing John Harvard Library, they are re-issuing newly designed editions of the series which was first published in the 60's and 70's. It is a collection of important documents in American history as well as the writings of significant figures. So far Robert has completed 15 portraits with about 35 still to do.
